In March, Daman proudly became one of over 160 Safe Place sites in St. Joseph County. “Seeing that Safe Place sign is an important message to kids that people care,” says owner Larry Davis. “Daman is committed to being available to youth in a variety of ways,” he continued. “YSB does an outstanding job connecting with kids who need help, and this one small way Daman can assist.”
Safe Place is a network of businesses, fast food restaurants, fire stations, busses, and other public places that provide teens between the ages of 12-18 who find themselves in crisis or need a place to stay, immediate access to help. Safe Place locations display the yellow and black sign shown here.

What a game!!! North Carolina made it interesting, but everyone at the Daman Tailgater had no doubt the Irish would pull it off. ND is now one of the top five undefeated teams in the nation! Thank you to everyone who came out to the tailgate and we hope to see you at the next one! Here’s a few photos to enjoy from the fun day…Go Irish!!!
We would like to thank all the friends and customers who attended the Daman Tailgater party for the Notre Dame vs. Michigan game on Saturday, September 6th. We had a blast and the Fighting Irish crushed the Wolverines 31-0. It was a beautiful day that ended with a beautiful win! Go Irish!!!
A Personal Note from Larry “Knees in the Breeze” Davis
As one of the 2014 Men in Kilts, I have personally committed to raise $50K for the Ronald McDonald House Charity of Michiana (RMHC).
This organization has been providing aid and support for seriously ill children and their families since 2002, and has done so exclusively through the generosity of our greater community. 3000 families were served by volunteers 365 days last year. RMHC provides families with a place to sleep, eat, shower and do laundry. Most importantly, families can do all of these things while being close to their children. And RMHC does something else we don’t like to think about; they provide comfort when things don’t go well.
With a great plan, a team of giving professionals and personal friends, who have passion to help Ronald McDonald House Charity of Michiana, we will get there! Be sure to “like us” on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/kneesinbreeze and follow our weekly “Mystery Motorcycle Tour” as a fun excuse to send donation reminders at my expense. Please pass them along to others.
Please also go to The Men in Kilts website and make a donation to help me help Ronald McDonald House Charity of Michiana and assist families who need to be at the hospital with their kids in their times of need.
With much gratitude,
Larry “Knees in the Breeze” Davis
